(RAJU SETH) D.A.V.Collegiate Senior Secondary School,Jalandhar successfully organised its much-anticipated Inter-School Competition, Pratibha Utsav 2024 on October 22, 2024.The event brought together students from various schools and was graced by prominent dignitaries. Dr. Gurinderjit Kaur, DEO (Secondary Education) honoured the occasion as the Chief Guest in the Inaugural session and Sh.Rajiv Joshi, Deputy DEO (Secondary Education) was the Chief Guest in the Valedictory ceremony.Sh.Rakesh Arora,Principal,Sain Dass A S Senior Secondary School was the Guest of Honour.
The event commenced with the rendition of the DAV Gaan followed by a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony.The dignitaries were accorded a warm welcome and presented with Mementos, Phulkaris and planters by Principal Dr.Rajesh Kumar,Senior Vice-Principal Dr.S.K.Tuli,Vice-Principal Prof.Kunwer Rajeev,Registrar Prof.Sonika Dania, Professor-in-Charge,D.A.V.Collegiate and convenor of the event Dr. Seema Sharma,HoD Zoology and Convener of the event Prof.Punit Puri,and Members of the Organising Secretary Dr.Navjeet Sharma,Dr. Ashu Bahl and Dr.Komal Arora.Prof.Pooja Sharma and Prof.Ashima were the moderator of the event,welcomed the distinguished guests of the day and introduced the event.
Principal Dr.Rajesh Kumar,in his address,extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests and participants from various schools and emphasised the significance of the event as a platform for students to exhibit their talent and creativity.

The competition encompassed a wide range of categories designed to nurture creativity, innovation,and practical skills among students.Featuring a diverse range of categories,the event included Working Models,Nail Art, Eco-friendly Fashion Show,Fireless Cooking,Dry Flower Arrangement,Folk Song (Solo),Best Out of Waste,Quiz, Origami,Ad-mad Show, Myth Buster and Reel Making.Each competition provided students with a platform to exhibit their unique talents with an impetus on holistic development beyond academics. The event saw active participation of about 860 students from 22 schools of Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur and Tarantaran.
The day culminated in a grand valedictory ceremony where winners were awarded.Dayanand Model School,Jalandhar was adjudged Overall Winner in the Junior category and SVJC D.A.V. Public School, Dasuya were declared Overall Winner in the Senior category.
St.Joseph Convent School,Jalandhar in the junior category and Cambridge Innovative School,Jalandhar in the senior category were the overall runners up.
The Convener of the event, Prof.Punit Puri,delivered the vote of thanks and expressed gratitude to the participants,guests and organising committee for their contribution.The event concluded with an electrifying Bhangra performance.
